Tailor your finance to suit your needs, and when you reach the end of your agreement, you have the flexibility to decide what you would like to do with your vehicle, by choosing to either keep it, return it or purchase a new one.

Easy and flexible. Select Finance offers you monthly payments tailored to your needs by selecting a contract term between 12 to 55 months and mileage between 10 000 and 95 000 kms over the contract term . Based on your selection, we determine the Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) of your vehicle. This means you don’t pay for the full vehicle price in your monthly instalments. Rather, the instalments are based on the purchase price of your vehicle minus any deposit, minus the GFV. This allows you to enjoy lower monthly payments and provides peace of mind as you don’t need to worry about the vehicles future value, and possible trade-in shortfall.

How does BMW Select Finance work?
With Select Finance, you choose your preferred mileage limit and contract term based on your individual needs, this will determine your vehicle's Guaranteed Future Value which is used to calculate your monthly instalment.
Is BMW Select Finance available with insurance?
Comprehensive Insurance Cover is not included in the monthly payment but BMW Financial Services does offer a variety of insurance products through BMW Insurance. You can enquire with your Finance & Insurance Manager regarding your options or refer to the Insurance section on this website.
Is BMW Select Finance available on Used vehicles?
Yes, Select Finance is available on Approved Used BMWs, less than 2 years old.
Is BMW Select Finance available without a deposit?
Yes, it is. You have the flexibility of choosing a deposit from 0%. The maximum deposit is dependent on the vehicle's Guaranteed Future Value.
In some cases, a deposit may however be required based on your affordability.
Is BMW Select Finance available for companies?
Yes it is. Both companies and private individuals can finance with Select Finance.
Can the monthly payments with BMW Select Finance be structured individually?
Yes, the monthly payments with Select Finance can be structured individually, to your particular needs. You can select the deposit (optional), term and mileage to suits your individual needs.
What options do I have when the contract with BMW Select Finance comes to an end?
Our Select Finance product provides you the flexibility to choose from the following options:
- Return your BMW and purchase a new one
- Settle or refinance the optional final payment and your vehicle is yours to keep, or
- Return your BMW and if it’s within your agreed mileage and in good condition, you’ll have nothing more to pay.

At the end of your Select Finance agreement, you may want to keep your BMW. That’s why we give you the option of purchasing the vehicle at the end of your agreement at its predetermined Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) – either by making a final payment or by refinancing the final amount with our help. Insurance Claims (Optional).
Your Select Finance agreement is subject to fair wear and tear. Prior to your vehicle valuation, please contact your insurer to assist with repairs should you have any damages to your vehicle.

Vehicle Condition Assessment.
Prior to returning your vehicle to your preferred BMW Retailer, a complimentary vehicle condition assessment needs to be completed by our approved assessor TÜV SÜD.
You can contact them on tuvsudcic@avts.co.za or (021) 935 7965 to make an appointment.
Schedule an appointment with your preferred BMW Retailer.
After concluding your vehicle condition assessment, you can contact the Finance & Insurance Manager at your preferred BMW Retailer to schedule an appointment for your vehicle return.
Please note that the vehicle must be returned within 4 days of the assessment being completed and at least 7 days prior to your contract end date.
Return your vehicle to your BMW Retailer.
When returning your BMW to your retailer, you will be required to complete the vehicle return checklist.
Please ensure that you bring along your all vehicle keys, the service book and all vehicle equipment such as the luggage compartment cover, tools, mobility kit, spare wheel etc.

Can I keep my vehicle when my BMW Select Finance agreement comes to an end?
Yes, you can. With Select Finance you can either return your vehicle or you can purchase the vehicle by paying the lump sum (GFV), aleternatively you can refinance the lump sum with our help.
What are my options at the end of my BMW Select Finance contract?
You have three options when your Select Finance agreement comes to an end: switch to a new BMW, purchase the vehicle or return it to your BMW Retailer.
What do I need to pay attention to when returning the vehicle?
An appointment must be arranged with your BMW Retailer, before returning your vehicle, at the end of the Select Finance Agreement. The TUV SUD assessment must also be completed before returning the vehicle. A detailed check list can also be found in Annexure A of the Select Finance Agreement (to obtain a copy of the agreement please contact us at customer.service@bmwfinance.co.za).
What happens if my vehicle has any damage at the end of the BMW Select Finance agreement?
Your Select Finance agreement is subject to fair wear and tear. To ensure that your vehicle return is as simple and stress-free as possible please contact your insurer to assist with all necessary repairs prior to taking your vehicle for an assessment with our 3rd party assessor.
If the vehicle displays any damage on return that is not covered by the insurance, costs may be incurred.
What happens if I have reached/exceeded my mileage parameters before the end of my contract?
Every Select Finance agreement has a pre-defined mileage parameter, as chosen by you, for the duration of the contract term. Should you exceed the mileage parameters during your contract, you will be liable to pay the excess mileage charge, as per your Select Finance agreement.
What is required when I return the vehicle to my BMW Retailer?
Communicate your intent to return the vehicle by contacting BMW Finance in writing 30 days prior to the end of the finance agreement.
Prior to returning your vehicle to your preferred BMW Retailer, a complimentary vehicle condition assessment needs to be completed by our approved assessor TÜV SÜD. Contact them on tuvsudcic@avts.co.za. or (021) 935 7965 to make an appointment.
Return the vehicle to your preferred BMW Retailer within 4 (four) days of the assessment and at least 7 (seven) working days prior to the contract end date. When returning your vehicle, you should have your Service Booklet, Owner’s Handbook, keys, original tools and accessories.
Prior to the vehicle being accepted by the Retailer, the vehicle will undergo a final inspection and you will be required to sign a Checklist, vehicle Condition Report as well as a VAT 264 Form.
Any charges arising from the assessment of the vehicle must be paid to BMW Finance. An invoice will be sent to you by BMW Financial Services for any excess kilometers travelled, and for any repairs that are not deemed normal wear and tear (damages as recorded on the assessment report). .
Once the BMW Select Checklist and Condition Report is received by us, your debit order will be de-activated. Please note the vehicle needs to be returned to the retailer at least 7 days before the contract end date, to ensure that the debit order is cancelled timeously.
Do I have to return my vehicle to the original Retailer at the end of the contract?
The vehicle can be returned to any BMW Retailer of your choice, i.e. it does not have to be returned to the original retailer you purchased your vehicle from.
Can a BMW Select Finance agreement be settled before the contract end date?
Yes, you may settle before the end of the agreement however this will result in the buyback agreement being forfeited by you. Both you and BMW Financial Services contract obligations are null and void in this case and the standard settlement process is to be followed. Should you decide to return your vehicle prior to the contract end date, the trade-in values will be determined by the dealership you are returning your vehicle to.
What if my account is in arrears at the time of returning my vehicle?
Should your account be in arrears at the time when your vehicle is due to be returned, you will be in breach of the buyback agreement and BMW Financial Services is not required to accept the vehicle until any such arrears have been paid in full.
What if the Motorplan on my vehicle has been revoked or suspended?
If the vehicle’s Motorplan has been revoked or suspended, you will be in breach of the buyback agreement and BMW Financial Services is not obligated to accept the vehicle.
