BMW Motorplan is an inclusive vehicle maintenance solution that gives you peace-of-mind for the first 5 years or 100 000 kms (whichever comes first) of your ownership journey with any new BMW. You can choose to extend it to a maximum of 7 years or 200 000 km. In addition, BMW Approved Used Cars come standard with a minimum of 1 year or 25 000 km Motorplan cover. Every Motorplan covers the following:

• Car Repair work to all major components, beyond the Standard New Vehicle Warranty.

• All maintenance plan and service work stipulated by the intelligent maintenance system, Condition Based Servicing (CBS).

• All repairs and costs of parts from normal wear and tear which may occur when the manufacturer's warranty has already expired.

• All oils, brake fluids and other lubricants replaced during a service.

• Vehicle mileage is checked and verified on the BMW Motorplan system.

• Access to 24-hour roadside assistance through BMW On Call.

As of 2002, all our vehicles offer Condition based Services (CBS) this service is based on the actual status of critical components within each individual vehicle, in other words as its name implies, a condition-based service. The vehicle will notify when a service is due.

Vehicle sensor technology systems within the vehicle monitor the wear on various components. These include engine oil, brake pads, brake fluid, micro-filters, spark plugs, and coolant and alert the driver as to when it is necessary to visit the dealership.

Not only do these systems result in increased vehicle safety, through constant monitoring for component wear and tear, but they also lead to lower cost of ownership through the effective extension of service intervals.
