BMW'S COMMITMENT TO UPLIFTING SCHOOLS AND SUPPORTING EDUCATION.
BMW GROUP SOUTH AFRICA DRIVES EDUCATION FORWARD.
To date, 146 schools have benefitted from BMW Group South Africa’s support. This investment underlines our continued commitment to education and to the Soshanguve community, where many BMW Group Plant Rosslyn associates live. Our investment has ranged from new or improved infrastructure to teacher training with the aim of significantly improving the learning environment and educational opportunities for the learners at the respective schools.

NATIONAL CODING AND ROBOTICS HUBS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH UNICEF.
The partnership between government, UNICEF, and the private sector, including BMW Group, is crucial to ensuring equitable access to STEM education, especially for learners in disadvantaged communities. This includes innovative approaches like ‘unplugged’ coding programmes.
Balancing technical STEM skills with essential soft skills like critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration is key to preparing youth for the workplace of tomorrow. Continued collaboration between all stakeholders – government, international organisations, the private sector, educational institutions, and communities – is needed to successfully bridge the skills gap and empower South African youth for the digital age.
It is not about ‘how many projects’ we support, but about ‘how impactful’ our social commitment is.
