BMW Comprehensive Insurance generally includes a vehicle liability insurance to cover claims by third parties as well as comprehensive insurance as protection for damage to the policyholder’s own vehicle or damage to the vehicle due to the policyholder’s fault. 

The costs for BMW Comprehensive Insurance depend on the type of vehicle, the owner of the vehicle, mileage and use of the vehicle.

In the event that your vehicle is stolen or written off, Top Up Core will settle the difference between your comprehensive insurance pay-out and the amount owing on your credit agreement.

Pricing is calculated based on the actual shortfall amount selected.

If your vehicle is stolen or written off, we will settle the difference between your Comprehensive Insurance pay-out and the amount on your Finance Agreement, less excess payable, arrears, refundable premiums, legal fees, notice interest charges or capital additions.

Where the vehicle is stolen and not recovered or damaged beyond economical repair and is written off by the Comprehensive Underlying Insurer, who has settled your claim by means of a lump sum payment, and a shortfall arises between such payment and the Credit Agreement amount, we will settle the shortfall difference.

BMW Care and Cosmetic Repair Insurance has specifically been designed to enable affordable repair and restore the Interior and/or Exterior of your BMW in the event of minor damage, caused by day to day motoring. This motoring concept will ensure your BMW remains in perfect showroom condition, free from chips, minor dents and light scratches.

Small scratches, dents, chips and abrasions are all too common. 

To make sure the BMW Care and Cosmetic Repair insurance applies in the event of a claim, the insurance premium must be paid up at the time when the damage occurs. Claims must be reported within 60 days of the incident, and prior authorisation must be obtained before any repairs commence. 

BMW Care and Cosmetic Repair Insurance packages can be purchased at the same time as the vehicle or anytime thereafter. The selected package then applies from the date of commencement stated on the Policy Schedule and expires at the end of the agreed term.

BMW Extended Warranty covers the cost of remedying technical defects and damage to vehicle parts after the manufacturer’s statutory warranty has expired.

BMW Extended Warranty covers the cost of repairing technical faults on the vehicle that occur after the manufacturer’s statutory warranty has expired.

The vehicle must have been operated properly and the maintenance, inspection and servicing work prescribed/recommended by the manufacturer must have been performed fully and on time (in accordance with the service intervals displayed in the vehicle). To make sure the Extended Warranty insurance applies in the event of a claim, the insurance premium must be paid up at the time when the damage occurs.

BMW Extended Warranty packages can be purchased at the same time as the vehicle or anytime thereafter. The selected package then applies retrospectively from the day of initial registration and expires at the end of the agreed term or on reaching the agreed mileage (whichever comes first).
