    Stop(s)

    Charging stops needed

This is the probable number of charging stops that you will need on your route.

Only actually existing charging points are considered (as per 25 April 2023) with shortest possible diversions and an initial charge level of 100%.

High-power charging stations (e.g. From the IONITY network) are preferred because they charge your vehicle with the maximum capacity.

    Remaining charge level of battery

The figure indicated is the remaining charge level of the battery on arrival after covering the distance, with a 100% battery charge level at the start of the journey.

    h

    Total charging time

This is the total time that you will probably need for charging along your route. Only actually existing charging points are considered (as per 25 April 2023) with shortest possible diversions and a starting charge level of 100%.

High-power charging stations (e.g. From the IONITY network) are preferred because they charge your vehicle with the maximum capacity.

    h

    Total journey time incl. Charging

The journey time indicated is the sum of estimated driving time plus charging time if you have to include charging breaks on your route.

It is assumed that you are travelling on the fastest route without any traffic hold-ups or other delays.

The charging capacity depends on the charge level, ambient temperature, individual driving profile and use of auxiliary devices as well as the actual vehicle selected. The charging times apply to ambient temperatures of 23 °C following a prior journey and may deviate according to usage characteristics. The values displayed are examples for the basic configuration of the model selected. The values may vary if the same vehicle has different equipment options.

    Fast charging station

If you need to act quickly in the city or while travelling, a fast charging station is just the right choice. This is because the direct current (DC) provided at these stations offers higher charging capacities than with alternating current (AC), such as that supplied by a domestic socket. This is why fast charging stations such as these are especially suitable for charging when you are travelling.

In the display, you can see the minimum time needed to charge from 10 to 80% of the battery charge level with up to 50 kW output. Within this range, charging is fastest and also preserves the battery.

A look at the map shows you all fast charging station within the BMW Charging network. (Valid as of 22/03/2023)

    AC charging station

You will find public charging stations with alternating current (AC) almost everywhere. They are especially suitable for regular charging over longer periods of time – such as overnight or while you are at work. In the display, you will find the minimum time for charging from 0-100% battery charge level with a maximum output of 22 kW. The charging performance depends on the equipment options for the vehicle.

Take a look at the map and discover all the charging stations with alternating current in the BMW Charging network. (Valid as of 22/03/2023)

    Home Charging

    Wallbox / Flexible Fast Charger

At home you can charge your BMW i5 M60 xDrive with a Wallbox or the Flexible Fast Charger.

Alternating current (AC) is used for both. Depending on the vehicle, special equipment and market, the Wallbox provides a maximum charging output of 22 kW, the Flexible Fast Charger a maximum of 11 kW.

In the display, you will see the minimum time for charging from 0-100% battery charge level with an output of 11 kW.

    Filter charging stations

The charging capacity depends on the charge level, ambient temperature, individual driving profile and use of auxiliary devices as well as the actual vehicle selected. The charging times apply to ambient temperatures of 23 °C following a prior journey and may deviate according to usage characteristics.

Use the My BMW app to find charging stations as well as to plan, check and manage charging operations – both at home and when travelling. Experience the full range of functions from the My BMW app in demo mode.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE BMW i5 M60 xDRIVE.

    Consumption and CO2 emissions.

BMW i5 M60 xDrive [1]: Energy consumption, combined WLTP in kWh/100 km: 20.5–18.2; Electric range, WLTP in km: 457–516

[1] Range depends on various factors, in particular: individual driving style, route characteristics, outside temperature, heating/air conditioning, pre-conditioning.

[2] The charging performance depends on the state of charge, ambient temperature, individual driving profile and use of auxiliary consumers. The ranges shown are based on the WLTP best case. The charging times apply to ambient temperatures of 23 degrees Celsius after a preceding drive and may differ depending on the usage behaviour.

Official data for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, power consumption and electric range was determined in accordance with the prescribed measuring procedure and corresponds to European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the applicable version. For ranges, data determined as per WLTP takes into account any optional equipment (available on the German market in this case). For vehicles that have been newly type approved since 1 January 2021, only the official data according to WLTP exists. In addition, NEDC values are deleted from the certificates of conformity as of 1 January 2023 by EC regulation 2022/195. For more information about NEDC and WLTP measuring procedures visit www.bmw.com/wltp

Further information about fuel consumption and official model-specific CO2 emissions of new passenger cars can be found in the "Guideline for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and electric power consumption for new passenger cars", available free of charge at all points of sale, at the Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen, Germany, and under https://www.dat.de/co2/.
